A center of attraction to New England skiing tradition is Tuckerman Ravine at eastern slope of Mt. Washington, New Hampshire. Its just as a skiing pilgrimage. The pros at New England Ski Museum have discussed the historic background of the hills and first expedition marked by Dartmouth Outing club in 1913. The Giant Slalom of US was held in 1937. It is a special area, a rite of passage for so many skiers and backcountry enthusiasts.
